NSW – 8way Training Camp with Russ Blackman
STATE 8's - Expression of Interest Challenging. Exciting. Technical. 8-WAY IS AWESOME! A series of events to get you launched into the 8-way discipline, culminating in 8-way competition experience at the NSW State Meet. Low commitment, reasonable cost. A great way to dip your toe into FS training and competition, and gain experience and skills invaluable to FS flyers, whether you're on a 2 or 200 way. Open to anyone from any state. Minimum skill requirements will apply - these are not star crest jumps. As a guide, you should have trained and competed with an intermediate 4 or 8 way team, be a solid FS flyer, and be willing to seek appropriate coaching (tunnel or freefall) as needed. Contact Russ to discuss if you are unsure. 6 weekend events are planned, with an optional (but recommended) tunnel event prior to each weekend. QLD Event 26 & 27 Aug 2017 Ramblers - Intermediate Bigways+ Beyond Fundamentals Coached by David Loncasty Skydive Ramblers at Toogoolawah is hosting an Intermediate Bigways event to those wishing to learn more advanced Bigway skills. Read on for details and pre-requisites.Who is this event for? Are you on the journey to the 2019 Aussie record? Have you actively participated in a number of Intermediate Bigways events and are itching to step up to the next level? Do you have reliable fundamental Bigway skills that are ready to be put to the test in a more complex environment? If the answer is YES, then this event is for YOU! What do you need to bring? Your A game for Skills, Knowledge and Attitude (Skills & Event Guide). Examples include: K = Good Knowledge of the Bigway fundamentals: present, identify, intercept, track away, and fly a safe and predictable pattern amongst up to 17 canopies to return to the ground. S = Skills to perform the above steps reliably: we expect you to exit stable, fly in your quadrant on your radial, approach fast, stop hard and dock with no momentum, keep flying, move to another point, maintain height awareness and flat track away for safe deployment. A = winning Attitude: be a team player, self-reliant and reliable, a helpful buddy, follow protocol and Bigway etiquette. Be a part of the 10-wayz for dayz in the build-up to the Doug Forth Big-way event at the end of this year! This is your opportunity to consolidate fundamental Big-way skillz: Aircraft exits from different slots Approaching and building formations Tracking Canopy flying skills in larger groups Coached by Shirley, 10-wayz for dayz is for everyone of all skill levels and experience. The jumps will be engineered to challenge everyone's flying ability and to be plenty of fun turning points. If you need a Starcrest then this is the time to step up and develop your Big-way skills.
